Pfizer seeks FDA approval of its jab for children under 5
Pfizer Inc. and BioNTech SE have applied for emergency use approval of its coronavirus vaccine in children under the age of 5.
The companies have asked the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to authorize the first two doses of the jab in children six months to four years old before more data is available on the third shot, despite some recent clinical trials showing that the vaccine did not produce a sufficient immune response in the age group.
