Poland confirms plan to host 2,500 more US troops
The Polish National Security Bureau confirmed on Wednesday the United States would deploy 2,500 more troops in Poland as part of the Biden administration’s plans to transfer more soldiers to eastern Europe amid renewed tensions between Ukraine and Russia.
The bureau’s head Pawel Soloch announced the news days after US President Joe Biden said the government was planning to deploy more forces in the region, further tightening relations with Moscow.
