Putin discusses issues in Iran with Merkel
Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a press conference on Friday that during his meeting with the Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel the two leaders discussed the issues surrounding nuclear talks with Iran.
Putin and Merkel are hopeful that following the establishment of a new government in Iran, the negotiations under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action will be more productive and will lead to a consensus. Putin also informed the chancellor of his recent conversation with the new Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.
Among other issues in the Middle East that were on the agenda was the importance to coordinate all political powers in Libya to reach a peaceful development for the sake of stability in the country.
