Putin: International relations becoming less stable
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that international relations have become “less stable and predictable.”
Appearing virtually at the Davos Agenda Week 2021, Putin warned that “extreme movements” such as populism, and right- and left-wing “radicalism” are on the rise, regional conflicts are “multiplying” and that global security systems are “degrading.” Furthermore, he pointed out that international institutions have become weaker.
However, the Russian president praised the agreement between his country and the new United States administration under President Joe Biden on the extension of the New START treaty as a “correct step” towards easing global tensions.
