Putin to take part in G20 summit via video link
Russian President Vladimir Putin will not travel to Rome for the G20 summit, the Kremlin announced on Friday. He will instead take part via videoconference, as will Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Putin is expected to “exchange opinions about the global economy restoration, about ensuring the digital transformation and implementing the sustainable development goals,” with a particular focus on “overcoming the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic, strengthening healthcare systems and carrying out global immunization,” the Kremlin stated. The G20 summit will take place on October 30-31.
