Pyongyang regime is guilty for situation in N. Korea – US
North Korea’s regime is to blame for “the humanitarian situation” in the country, Unites States Department of State spokesperson Ned Price stated on Friday, adding that all United Nations members “are bound by their obligations” regarding the UN Security Council’s sanctions against Pyongyang.
Responding to a call to lift the sanctions on the Asian country due to a risk of starvation, Price underlined that Washington is ready to “work to the best of [its] ability to alleviate the suffering of” both the country and its citizens.
“That is why we continue to support international efforts aimed at the provision of critical humanitarian aid to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea,” Price concluded during a press briefing.
