Relief fund talks show both sides of EU – Slovenia PM
Negotiations on the European Union coronavirus recovery fund show both sides of the EU, Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Jansa (pictured) wrote on Saturday.
“The second day of attempts to reach an agreement on the budget and the recovery fund. The #EU is once again showing itself in all its complexity of differences, smallness and greatness, selfishness and solidarity,” Jansa wrote in a tweet, calling the talks a “perseverance test.”
Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz said earlier today that the negotiations are showing progress, but the bloc’s member countries still haven’t reached an agreement.
