Report: J&J quietly paused COVID vaccine production
Johnson & Johnson has halted the production of its COVID-19 vaccine at its plant in the Dutch city of Leiden in late 2021, according to a report published by the New York Times on Tuesday.
While there was no confirmation whether the several-month-long stop caused an impact on vaccine supplies, the production is expected to restart soon following the pause.
According to the report, the American vaccine maker is already behind its deliveries to lower-income countries across Africa.
