Report: UK could ease lockdown before May 7
United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson could decide to ease lockdown, which was imposed over the coronavirus pandemic, before the original deadline set for May 7, an unnamed Johnson’s ally told The Telegraph on Sunday.
The prime minister already discussed the idea of easing restrictions with the country’s ministers, while he is expected to receive updated scientific advice from experts later this week, according to the report.
The source stressed that “talking about lifting the lockdown is using the wrong language, we [UK] need to be talking about modifying the lockdown.”
