Roku pulls YouTube TV from channel store
YouTube TV was removed from Roku’s channel store on Friday amid a dispute centered on allegations of anti-competitive demands from the Alphabet subsidiary.
“We are disappointed that Google has allowed our agreement for the distribution of YouTube TV to expire,” Roku said in a statement after notifying users earlier this week it might pull YouTube TV. According to Roku, Google has been demanding preferential access to its consumer data from the company.
Roku added that YouTube TV will still be available for existing YouTube TV customers on its platform “unless Google takes actions that require the full removal of the channel.”
