Russia: Germany not giving access to Navalny
Germany is yet to respond to requests from Russian prosecutors to get consular access to Russian citizen Alexey Navalny, Moscow’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement released on Saturday. “We still insist on receiving a response to these appeals,” Russia stated.
Moscow sent a fourth request for legal aid to Navalny, a strong Kremlin critic and opposition politician. Furthermore, Russia said in the statement that it is prepared for dialogue on the Navalny case.
Earlier, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said that Germany would introduce sanctions on Russia if international investigators confirmed that Navalny was poisoned.
