Russia registers 4,774 new COVID-19 cases
Russian health authorities announced on Thursday that the number of coronavirus infections stood at 62,773 nationwide after 4,774 people were tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. A total of 2,228 new cases identified since Wednesday’s update were asymptomatic, officials said.
Meanwhile, coronavirus claimed 42 lives in Russia since yesterday’s update, raising the national death toll from the infection to 555.
According to health officials, a total of 4,891 Russian residents successfully recovered from the disease since the beginning of the pandemic.
