Russia shook ‘foundation of international order’ – Kishida
Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida told his Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi, that Moscow’s operation in Ukraine shook the “foundation of the international order”, calling on India for a tougher stance on Russian actions.
“We (Kishida and Modi) confirmed any unilateral change to the status quo by force cannot be forgiven in any region, and it is necessary to seek peaceful resolutions of disputes based on international law,” Kishida stated after the meeting.
The Japanese Prime Minister also announced plans to invest five trillion yen ($42 billion) in India over five years, with Japan’s Suzuki Motor signing investment agreements with Delhi to produce electric vehicles and batteries in the country.
