Russia wants cooperation with EU on cybersecurity
Moscow has offered cooperation in the field of cybersecurity to the European Union, Permanent Representative of Russia to the EU said in a statement on Friday.
The comment came after bloc’s lead spokesperson for the external affairs, Peter Stano, said in an interview with TASS that Brussels hasn’t received any “official information about Russia’s readiness” for talks about cybersecurity.
“We have repeatedly proposed to the EU to start a substantive conversation on the topic [of cybersecurity]. Moreover, this year Russia has held relevant bilateral consultations with a number of EU member states,” the permanent mission’s statement underlined.
