Russian scientist says pandemic will end in 2021
Director General of Russia’s Vector State Research Center of Virology and Biotechnology Rinat Maksyutov said on Sunday that he believes the COVID-19 pandemic will end in 2021 because of vaccination and herd immunity which will follow.
However, Maksyutov warned that the fact that the pandemic will end doesn’t mean that the coronavirus will disappear.
Speaking at an online event, the scientist also commented on Russian COVID-19 vaccines, saying both Sputnik V and Epivaccorona will have similar prices.
