Russian win would usher in ‘age of intimidation’ – Johnson
United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson stated on Saturday that the Russian military operation in Ukraine was a “turning point” for the international community, noting that Moscow’s victory would usher in “a new age of intimidation.”
“A victorious Putin will not stop in Ukraine. And the end of freedom in Ukraine will mean the extinction of any hope of freedom in Georgia and then Moldova, it will mean the beginning of a new age of intimidation across Eastern Europe from the Baltic to the Black Sea,” Johnson said.
Johnson also likened the Ukrainians’ efforts in defending their country to the British 2016 referendum for leaving the EU when the people of the UK, in his opinion, showed they wanted “their country to be able to run itself.”
