S. Korea, Iran to talk ship seizure, frozen assets
Seoul and Tehran agreed to continue their talks over Iran’s seizure of a South Korean ship in the Strait of Hormuz after initially making little progress, the country’s Foreign Ministry stated on Wednesday.
The officials added the two countries would also discuss the possibility of Seoul unlocking Tehran’s assets frozen amid the United States’ sanctions on Iran.
The comments come after First Vice Foreign Minister Choi Jong-kun’s (pictured left) three-day visit to Iran.
