S. Korea sees new record in daily cases of 1,241
The number of infections from COVID-19 registered daily in South Korea reached a new record-high of 1,241, the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) unveiled on Friday.
The total count of cases recorded since the start of the pandemic in the country now stands at 54,770.
Meanwhile, the death toll from the effects of coronavirus increased by 17 in the previous 24 hours to reach a total of 773.
