S. Korean official: Kim Jong-un alive and well
Foreign policy adviser to South Korean President Moon Jae-in claimed on Sunday that North Korea’s Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un is “alive and well” despite several reports suggesting he may be dead or in a vegetative state.
“Our government position is firm. Kim Jong Un is alive and well. He has been staying in the Wonsan area since April 13. No suspicious movements have so far been detected,” Moon Chung-in told CNN.
Speculation that the secretive leader has either passed or has suffered major brain damage during botched heart surgery began earlier this week.
