Scholz: EU should prevent tax evasion
German Finance Minister Olaf Scholz stated on Wednesday that the German Council presidency gives top priority to money laundering issues, looking to achieve an international consensus, so a headway to fair taxation for all is continued with the assistance of the European Union.
Among the initiatives that were announced, the German minister chose to focus on the necessity for greater harmonization of the EU regulatory framework with existing national legislation and the creation of a body that would supervise financial intelligence units.
