Schumer looking for votes to confirm Biden’s OMB pick
United States Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer revealed he is looking to find enough votes to secure President Joe Biden’s pick for Office of Management and Budget director.
“I am working with President Biden to find the extra votes so she can be passed. I think she would be a very good OMB leader,” Schumer said about Neera Tanden.
The news comes after Democratic Senator Joe Manchin opposed Biden’s choice for OBM head over worries about her previous tweets and statements, for which she already faced pushback by the Republicans.
