Sefcovic, Gove to discuss Brexit agreement
European Commission’s Vice President for Interinstitutional Relations Maros Sefcovic confirmed on Monday he would meet British Minister for the Cabinet Office Michael Gove to discuss the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement, with a special focus on the parts referring to Ireland and Northern Ireland.
“We are working hard to make sure it is fully operational as of 1 January 2021,” Sefcovic wrote on Twitter.
Earlier in the day, it was reported British Prime Minister Boris Johnson was planning to walk away from the negotiations with the bloc as an agreement has not been reached yet.
