Singapore to begin easing coronavirus restrictions
Singapore authorities announced on Saturday the movement restrictions put in place to limit the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak will be gradually lifted over the next few weeks.
“We are preparing for the safe and gradual resumption of economic and community activities after the end of the circuit breaker period on 1 June 2020,” the country’s Ministry of Health said in the statement.
Singapore registered 447 new coronavirus infections today, bringing the overall number of confirmed cases to 17,548. The death toll is currently at 16.
