SpaceX Crew-2 arrives safely to ISS
The SpaceX Crew Dragon Endeavour astronauts have arrived safely at the International Space Station (ISS) on Saturday, following yesterday’s successful launch from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The crew of the ISS will welcome the Crew-2 members of the Dragon spacecraft following final procedures on the opening of the hatch which happened at 7:05 am ET, after docking successfully to the ISS at 5:08 am ET. According to SpaceX, this is the first time that two Crew Dragons are attached to the ISS.
With the arrival of Crew-2 astronauts, the astronauts from the first mission (Crew-1) will begin preparations for their return to Earth, after they have handed operations to the new mission. SpaceX’s next mission to ISS, Crew-3, is scheduled for the upcoming fall.
