Switzerland tightens curbs for unvaccinated citizens
The Swiss government ordered on Wednesday that all citizens will have to show COVID-19 certificates from September 13 in order for them to be allowed entry into bars, restaurants and fitness centers across the country.
“The situation remains unstable with more than 3,500 COVID-19 cases today. The alternative is to close everything, and we will do our utmost to avoid that,” Health Minister Alain Berset said at a press briefing.
COVID-19 certificates in Switzerland can be obtained by all citizens who have received the vaccine, recovered from the disease or tested negative for the coronavirus.
