T-Mobile revenue surges 61% to $17.7B in Q2
Mobile communications company T-Mobile announced on Thursday its second-quarter revenue landed at $17.7 billion, a surge of 61% compared to the same quarter a year earlier.
In its first quarter since merging with Sprint, T-Mobile said net income was $110 million on diluted earnings per share of $0.09. The company also managed to overtake AT&T as America’s second-largest 2 wireless provider.
“Surpassing AT&T to become #2 was a huge milestone to kick off Q2, but that was only the beginning! In our first quarter as a combined company, T-Mobile led the industry in total branded customer adds, even in a challenging environment, and there is no doubt that we are THE leading growth company in wireless,” CEO Mike Sievert said.
Shares of T-Mobile jumped 2.27% to $110.55 per share shortly following the release of its earnings.
