Trudeau: Canada entering third wave of pandemic
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, while speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, described the situation in Canada in regards to the COVID-19 crisis as “disturbing”, adding that the country, along with the entire world, is “facing a very serious third wave of this pandemic”.
The Prime minister also announced that $700 million will be invested in the country’s recovery as hospitalizations are surging and virus mutations are spreading.
As far as vaccination goes, Trudeau shared that Pfizer will be delivering 1 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine every week from on and is also expected to deliver additional 5 million shots before the summer. “We are trying to get as many vaccines in as possible, as quickly as possible,” the prime minister said.
