Trump: I paid millions in income tax in 2016, 2017
US President Donald Trump claimed on Tuesday that he paid “millions of dollars” in income tax in 2016 and 2017, denying the report saying he paid no income taxes for 10 of the 15 years before he was elected president and only $750 in each of those two years.
“I paid 38 million dollars one year, I paid $27 million on year. Millions of dollars in 2016 and 2017 for income tax,” Trump stressed at the 2020 presidential debate in Ohio.
Furthermore, he accused former Vice President Joe Biden for “passing tax bills than gave us all those privileges,” adding “it was given to him by the Obama administration.”
