Trump, Macron agree on need to reform WHO
United States President Donald Trump and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron agreed that reform of the World Health Organization (WHO) is necessary, White House Deputy Press Secretary Judd Deere unveiled on Sunday.
In a phone call, Trump and Macron discussed “positive developments” in tackling the coronavirus outbreak as well as “progress toward reopening world economies” after the infection is curbed.
“The two leaders expressed hope to convene the P5 [Permanent members of the United Nations Security Council] soon and discuss the UN response to the pandemic,” Deere stated.
