Trump: We did what we came here to do, and so much more
Outgoing United States President Donald Trump stated in his farewell address on Tuesday his administration accomplished the goals it set and “much more.”
Trump claimed that his agenda was not about “right or left” or “Republican or Democrat” but about the “good of the nation.” The president reiterated that his team “built the greatest economy in the history” and touted the pre-coronavirus unemployment numbers. He also lauded his administration’s foreign policies, the trade deal with China, and the “revitalization” of US alliances.
Finally, the president condemned the Capitol attacks, denouncing political violence and asserting that they can “never be tolerated.” “We extend our best wishes, and we also want them to have luck – a very important word,” Trump concluded.
