Twitter flags Trump’s post on DC protesters
Twitter revealed on Tuesday that it “placed a public interest notice” on Donald Trump’s tweet in which he has mentioned using “serious force” against protesters who may attempt to set up an “autonomous zone” in Washington DC.
The measure has been imposed as the tweet violates the company’s “policy against abusive behavior, specifically, the presence of a threat of harm against an identifiable group,” Twitter stated.
“Per our policies, this Tweet will remain on the service given its relevance to the ongoing public conversation. Engagements with the Tweet will be limited. People will be able to Retweet with Comment, but not Like, Reply, or Retweet it,” the social media platform clarified.
