Uber, Lyft to share banned driver info
Uber Technologies Inc. and Lyft Inc. announced on Thursday they will start sharing basic information regarding drivers and delivery people that have been banned by one of the platforms in order to increase safety.
The so-called Industry Sharing Safety Program will focus on workers that were “deactivated for serious sexual assault or physical assault fatalities.”
Both ride-sharing companies called on other members of the transport and delivery industry to participate in the program.
