UK coronavirus death toll up by 413 in past day
Health authorities in the United Kingdom announced on Sunday that 413 people have died from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, half the number reported yesterday.
The new figures have raised the UK’s total death toll to 20,732. Director of the NHS England Stephen Powis attributed the country’s falling death toll to the fact that “we as a British public have paid attention to the social distancing guidance.”
On Monday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson is set to return to work at Downing Street following two weeks of recovering from the coronavirus.
