UK govt made right calls at right time about pandemic – minister
British Housing, Communities and Local Government Secretary Robert Jenrick (pictured) stated on Wednesday the government took “right decisions at the right time” concerning the coronavirus pandemic based on the “information that was available to us,” as the country’s death toll from COVID-19 surpassed 100,000.
“And we did everything that we could to protect people’s lives and help to weather the storm and take the country through this very challenging period,” he told Sky News. “The most important thing now is to focus on the vaccine and to make sure it proceeds at pace.”
Jenrick’s comments come after Prime Minister Boris Johnson stressed the government did everything it could to curb the spread of the virus and that he took full responsibility for every decision it had made.
