UK makes new demands on fisheries – report
The United Kingdom has changed its stance on the matter of fisheries, one of the three main sticking points in the late-stage Brexit negotiations with the European Union, BBC reported on Monday, citing an EU diplomat.
As the talks took a step back in regards to access to British waters, there also hasn’t been any progress in the negotiations on the trade-policy common rules and standards, also known as the level playing field, the report added, concluding that the “talks are in a bad way.”
Earlier today, another report signaled that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson could decide to leave the negotiating table altogether and opt for the no-deal Brexit scenario.
