UK minister does not deny Russia stole jab formula
British Minister of State for Security Damian Hinds did not deny on Monday claims that Russia stole the formula for the COVID-19 vaccine made by AstraZeneca PLC and Oxford University in order to develop its own Sputnik V vaccine.
“I won’t comment on the specific case that you mention because that wouldn’t be right to do in detail, but it would be fair to say, correct to say, that we face threats of this type that are different, they are more sophisticated, they are more extensive than they ever have been before,” he said. Earlier, the Kremlin dismissed the allegations and stressed the differences in the development of the two vaccines.
