UK registers 22,915 COVID cases, 501 deaths
The United Kingdom reported 22,915 new COVID-19 cases and 501 coronavirus-related deaths in the last 24 hours, the government’s data showed on Thursday.
The data revealed that the number of newly registered positive cases slightly fell in the last week compared to the previous seven days, while on the other hand, the number of virus-related deaths started rising. The number of patients admitted to hospitals significantly increased, with the number of conducted tests also going up.
Including the latest update, the total tally now counts over 1.45 million cases and 53,775 fatalities.
