UK registers 351 new COVID-19 deaths
Coronavirus death toll in the United Kingdom rose by 351 since yesterday, the country’s Department of Health reported on Friday. Since the beginning of the outbreak, 36,393 deaths were contributed to the virus.
During the same period, a total of 254,195 people were confirmed to be infected with COVID-19, with 3,287 cases being discovered in the past 24 hours.
Bank of England Deputy Governor Dave Ramsden said earlier today that the country’s recovery from the coronavirus-caused crisis may take longer than previously predicted and will be less sharp than the downturn.
