UK sanctions seven over Navalny poisoning
The British government sanctioned on Friday seven individuals from Russia it claims are intelligence operatives that were involved in the poisoning of the opposition leader Alexei Navalny (pictured).
The authorities asserted that the phone and travel records suggest that the supposed operatives were “involved in the use of a chemical weapon in the attempted assassination.”
Earlier this month, Moscow stated that London has used sanctions against Russia more frequently since Brexit, accusing the United Kingdom of meddling in its internal affairs.
