Ukraine loses access to Sea of Azov – officials
Ukrainian Ministry of Defence stated that Russia’s military operations in the Donetsk area have been partially successful, as Ukraine “temporarily” lost access to the Sea of Azov.
“[Russian military] is trying to compensate for the failures in advancing troops during the ground operation by launching missile and bomb strikes using both high-precision weapons and indiscriminate bombardment,” said the ministry.
The officials emphasized that Russian troops have been destroying the cities’ infrastructure and residential areas so as to frighten the Ukrainian population and “persuade the military and political leadership of our country to negotiate on enemy terms.” Russian army conducted more than 40 air raids and 4 missile launches on Friday.
