UK’s COVID case count up by record 55,892
The number of people who tested positive for the coronavirus in the United Kingdom increased by a record 55,892 during the last 24 hours, the data posted on the UK government’s website unveiled on Thursday.
In the same period, there have been 964 more deaths attributed to the virus, the reading showed, which brought the country’s COVID death toll to 73,512.
Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 2,488,780 COVID-19 cases, while the vaccination against the disease started in early December.
