UK’s daily COVID cases fall to 2-month low 15,845
The United Kingdom reported 15,845 new coronavirus cases, marking the lowest number of daily COVID-19 infections since December 8, according to data released by the British government on Sunday. The nation’s total number of confirmed cases stands now at 3,945,680.
The death toll from the virus climbed to 112,465 nationwide after the country’s health authorities registered another 373 COVID-related fatalities, fewest since December 26.
Meanwhile, the UK has conducted 73,277,874 tests for the virus since the beginning of the outbreak, increasing by 783,851 from the past day.
