Unemployment could fall to single digits in August – Kudlow
The unemployment rate in the United States could fall below 10% in August, US National Economic Council (NEC) Director Larry Kudlow (pictured) said on Thursday.
Kudlow suggested that the coronavirus pandemic has shown some shy signs of slowing down, with the number of COVID-19 fatalities falling in the past days, and expressed optimism about the vaccine development in the country.
He predicted significant economic growth in the third quarter of the year, building on the statement from earlier today when he asserted that the economy in the US is “trending in the right direction.”
