United picked as official airline for US election debates
The United States Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) announced on Tuesday that it had chosen United Airlines as the official airline for the 2020 Presidential and Vice Presidential Debates.
According to the official announcement, there will be 65 CPD staff and crew members who will fly to each of the four debates starting with the first Presidential debate on September 29 in Cleveland. CPD’s Executive Director Janet Brown stated that “United’s contribution to the well-being of the production team helps ensure these important voter education events take place.”
Brett Hart, President of United Airlines, added that the company improved its cleaning measures through the United CleanPlus program since the coronavirus pandemic started.
