US down premarket ahead of jobs data
Major stock markets in the United States traded lower in the premarket session on Thursday, as investors wait for the release of the initial jobless claims report before the bell rings later today. Meanwhile, Cisco Systems released an underwhelming earnings report yesterday after market close, and the chip shortage still plagues car manufacturers.
The Dow Jones was 0.35% down at 4:28 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 traded 0.19% lower at the same time. The S&P 500 declined 0.26% at 4:29 am ET.
The euro rose 0.21% against the dollar trading for $1.21990 at 4:27 am ET.
