US down premarket, Dow tumbles over 180 pts
Major stock indexes in the United States traded below the flatline on Monday ahead of President Joe Biden’s announcement on small business. This week, the House Democrats are expected to pass the $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief bill with the aim of having the president sign the legislation before the unemployment benefits expire on March 14. Meanwhile, in business, the Federal Aviation Administration said it will launch an extended probe into Boeing 777’s engine failure.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 0.57% at 4:11 am ET. The Nasdaq 100 tumbled 1.31%, while the S&P 500 surrendered 0.76%.
The euro was down 0.11% against the greenback at 4:10 am ET, changing hands for 1.21034 dollars.
