US introduces new Belarus sanctions
The United States Treasury Department imposed new Belarus-related sanctions on Monday.
The US added six entities and 16 individuals, to its Belarus sanctions list. Those targeted include the State Security Committee of the Republic of Belarus and President Alexander Lukashenko’s Press Secretary Natalia Eismant.
Earlier, the European Union introduced sanctions on 86 Belarusian individuals and entities over Minsk’s decision to ground a Ryanair flight last month.
