US markets rise further, S&P 500 at record high
Major stock indexes in the United States continued to rise on Thursday, propelled by COVID-19 vaccine-related optimism and better-than-expected economic data.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average traded 1.04% higher at 11:22 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 surged 2.34% at the same time. The S&P 500 surpassed its previous peak, growing 1.39%.
The euro climbed 0.32% against the greenback at 11:23 am ET, changing hands for 1.19649 dollars.
