US oil rig count up by 10 to 397 – Baker Hughes
The number of oil rigs in the United States in the week ending August 13 rose by 10 compared to the previous week to stand at 397, according to the Baker Hughes weekly rig count released on Friday.
Meanwhile, the number of US gas rigs decreased by 1 to 102 during the same week to bring the overall number of rigs operating in the country to 500. Compared to the same period a year earlier, the number of oil rigs is up by 225.
In Canada, the number of rigs increased by 8 to 164. The number of oil rigs in the country reached 100 after having moved up by 5 on a weekly scale, and by 81 on an annual basis.
