US spent $2.5T in army equipment in last 3 years – Trump
United States President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that his country has spent more than $2.5 trillion on the military in “only three short years,” and that it is “not over yet” with arming.
Speaking at the United Nations 4th Plenary meeting, Trump stated the US has “revitalized NATO alliance where other countries are now paying much more fair share.” He added that Washington stands with the people of Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela in their fight for freedom. “By taking the different approaches we got the different outcomes. I have never been more optimistic about the future of the region,” he noted.
Trump added that the US bringing its military troops back from Afghanistan, and stressed that under his governance a peace deal between Serbia and Kosovo was signed as well as the UAE-Israel-Bahrein accord.
“If the UN is an effective organization, it has to focus on real problems, human and sex trafficking, women’s rights, protecting unborn children and stand against religious prosecution. America will always be a leader in human rights,” he concluded.
